
Four-Game Spikes Playoff Packs on Sale Monday

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - - The State College Spikes are once again beating a path to the postseason after making it all the way to the New York-Penn League Championship Series last season. The Spikes hold a substantial lead in the NYPL Pinckney Division, and are looking to capture their second consecutive division title and qualify for a berth in the NYPL playoffs, which start on Wednesday, September 3 .
In anticipation of as many as four potential September home playoff games at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, the Spikes today announced that Four-Game Playoff Packs will go on sale to the public starting Monday, August 18 at 9 a.m. Current 2014 Spikes season ticket holders and sponsors have the opportunity to reserve their seats and purchase additional seats for the entire NYPL playoffs as part of a special pre-sale that lasts through tomorrow, Friday, August 15, at 5 p.m.
Four-Game Playoff Packs start as low as just $16 per seat and include a $2 per game savings off the single-game price. In addition, each seat purchased as part of a Four-Game Playoff Pack will come with a free, limited-edition 2014 Spikes playoff t-shirt while supplies last.
Four-Game Playoff Pack pricing is listed below:
- Outfield Bleachers: $16 + Free T-Shirt per package
- Bullpen Box: $24 + Free T-Shirt per package
- Field Box: $32 + Free T-Shirt per package
- Diamond Club: $40 + Free T-Shirt per package
- "Rail Kings" : $56 + Free T-Shirt per package
Fans can purchase Four-Game Playoff Packs starting Monday, August 18 at 9 a.m. by visiting the Spikes Box Office at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park or calling (814) 272-1711 during Box Office hours. On home game days, the Spikes Box Office is open from 9 a.m. through the end of the game. Non-game day hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Fans can also reserve their Playoff Packs online at StateCollegeSpikes.com.
In the event less than four post-season games are played, fans can claim a refund for games not played in one of three ways:
1. Credit applied to 2015 Spikes Season Tickets OR
2. Undated single-game ticket vouchers for the 2015 Spikes season OR
3. Full monetary refund applied to the method used to purchase the seats
Single-game tickets for potential Spikes playoff games at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park will be placed on sale at a later date.
The New York-Penn League's playoff format features a Best-of-3 Semi-Final round followed by a Best-of-3 Championship Series. The champions of the league's three divisions, plus the club with the best record among non-division winners will qualify for the post-season.
