Santa Cruz Warriors Sign Guard Ryan Taylor

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors have signed guard Ryan Taylor from the NBA G League player pool the team announced today. In a related move, the Warriors have requested waivers on guard Vander Blue.

Taylor, was originally selected with the 24th overall in the 2019 NBA G League draft by the Lakeland Magic after a playing collegiately at Ohio, Evansville and Northwestern. During his senior season, the 6'6", 195-poind guard appeared in 31 games for the Wildcats averaging 9.8 points and 1.1 assists in 27.3 minutes per game.

Blue appeared in 14 games (seven starts) with the Warriors, averaging 8.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 24.9 minutes per game. The seven-year G League veteran has appeared in 239 games (189 starts) scoring 4,845 points, second most in G League history, trailing only Renaldo Major.

Taylor will wear #41 for the Warriors.
