San Antonio Rampage News Release
THIS WEEK'S GAMES
Wednesday, March 13 vs Oklahoma City Barons AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.
The Rampage will square off in a rematch against the Oklahoma City Barons on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. on an All-You-Can-Eat Night at AT&T Center. The Barons claimed a 3-2 victory over the Rampage on Sunday during the team's sixth annual Pucks & Paws game. The win marked the first time in five-straight regular season games dating back to Oct. 30, 2011 that the Barons claimed a victory at AT&T Center.
Friday, March 15 vs Houston Aeros AT&T Center, 7:30 p.m.
The Rampage and Aeros will square off on Friday in the first of five more meetings in San Antonio's final 19 games of the year. The Rampage own a 3-4-0-0 record against their divisional foe this season, but San Antonio has won two of the last three meetings between the two clubs.
Houston has recorded a power-play goal six of the first seven meetings between the teams, going 10-for-46 with the man advantage, while the Rampage are 3-for-30 against Houston on the power play.
Sunday, March 17 vs Abbotsford Heat AT&T Center, 3:30 p.m.
The Rampage and Heat will wrap up their season series on Sunday afternoon at AT&T Center. The Rampage lead the season series (2-0-0- 1) and have outscored the Heat, 9-5, in the three games. The Heat currently occupy the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Confer- ence, despite winning only two of their last 13 games. Rampage forward Quinton Howden has three goals in three games against Abbotsford.
SOCIAL MEDIA NIGHT - March 15
The Rampage will host their first-ever Social Media Night this Friday featuring interactive opportunities to win prizes, meet other social media fans, and connect with their favorite AHL team all night long. Ticket spe- cials for this night are available at SARampage.com
FACE-OFF AGAINST KIDS CANCER - March 17
The Rampage will host their final Face-Off Against Kids Cancer event following the team's game on Sun- day. Throughout the season, the Rampage players have established bonds with their buddies through several activities in the San Antonio community, in- cluding a pizza and board game party, a trip to Funtastic Playland and watching a live performance of Rapunzel at the Magik Theatre.
PUCKS & PAWS: The Rampage welcomed more than 300 dogs for the club's sixth annual Pucks & Paws game on Sunday. For every dog ticket sold, $5 was donated to the Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare (AAPAW).
ANOTHER LENGTHY SHOOTOUT: Friday's marathon 12-round shootout was the longest in Rampage franchise history, eclipsing the 11-round shootout that occurred earlier this season on Nov. 24 against Abbotsford. San Antonio has now won three-straight shootouts after dropping their first four of the season.
BARLOW'S BACK: The Rampage signed forward Evan Barlow to a professional tryout contract on Thursday. Barlow played in 57 games for the Rampage last season and scored 30 points (10 goals, 20 assists).
POWER PLAY: The Rampage have tallied a power-play goal in seven of their last nine games, going 9-for-41 in that span with the man advantage.
ICE CHIPS: Zach Miskovic - Defenseman
Since being acquired via trade from the Chicago Wolves on Feb. 14, Zach Miskovic has become one of the Rampage's most reliable de- fenseman. Miskovic owns a plus-7 rating in his last six games for the Silver and Black and tallied his first multi-point game (one goal, one assist) in San Antonio's 5-4 shootout win over Texas on Friday. The River Forrest, Ill., native followed suit on Sunday by recording an assist on San Antonio's second goal of the game. In all, Miskovic has recorded seven points (two goals, five assists) in nine games with the Rampage.
