Tampa Bay Recalls Defenseman Radko Gudas

Syracuse, NY -The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled defenseman Radko Gudas from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today. Additionally, the Crunch have returned goaltender Pat Nagle and forward Alex Hutchings to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.
Gudas, 22, has skated in 57 games this season with the Crunch, notching four goals and 20 points. Gudas is tied for second among Crunch defensemen for goals, assists and points. Gudas leads the AHL with a plus/minus rating of plus-32. Gudas has also compiled a team-best and the fourth-most penalty minutes in the AHL with 207. Gudas' 136 shots on goal rank fifth among Crunch skaters.
The Prague, Czech Republic, native was originally drafted by the Lightning in the third round, 66th overall, of the 2010 NHL Draft. Gudas has played in 228 career AHL games with the Norfolk Admirals and the Crunch, registering 15 goals, 57 points and 567 penalty minutes. In the 2011-12 season, Gudas led the Admirals in penalty minutes with 195.
Nagle, 25, has played in 29 games with the Everblades this season. Nagle has a .902 save percentage and a 3.10 GAA. The goalie has appeared in 74 career ECHL contests with the Everblades, including six games during the 2011-12 playoffs. Nagle made his AHL debut during Syracuse's 6-3 loss to Toronto on March 6. He stopped 10 of 11 shots in relief of Riku Helenius.
Hutchings, 22, has 32 points (13g, 19a) in 37 games with the Everblades this season. The 5-10, 184-lb., winger has appeared in 111 career ECHL games with the Everblades, totaling 82 points (38g, 44a). He has also earned five points (2g, 3a) in 13 games with the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL. Hutchings has recorded four points (2g, 2a) in 12 games with the Crunch this season. The Burlington, Ontario native was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fourth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
