Islanders Return Ullstrom to Sound Tigers

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Mar. 11, 2013) - The New York Islanders announced they have returned forward David Ullstrom to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Ullstrom, 23, appeared in 19 games with the Islanders after being recalled on Jan. 12 and recorded two goals and three assists. The third-year forward returns to the Sound Tigers where he has posted 19 points (five goals, 14 assists) in 26 games and leads the team with a plus-11 rating.

The Jonkoping, SWE native has totaled 13 points in 48 game with the Islanders over the past two seasons, and has amassed 90 points (46 goals, 44 assists) in 133 games in three seasons with the Sound Tigers. Ullstrom was orginally selected by the Islanders in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
