
Aeros Release Goalie Jeff Jakaitis from PTO

Houston, TX - Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill announced on Monday the team has released goalie Jeff Jakaitis from a professional tryout agreement (PTO).
The sixth-year pro signed with the team prior to Sunday's game in Charlotte to back-up goalie Cody Reichard. He did not play and will return to the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays, where he posted a record of 7-5-3 with a 2.32 goals against average and a .927 save percentage this year. Over the course of his career, the 29-year old tender has made ten AHL appearances for Portland and Worcester. Over that span, the Rochester, MN native is 5-3-1 mark with a 3.27 goals against average and a .901 save percentage.
After playing 12 of their last 13 games on the road, the Aeros return home on Thursday, Mar. 14 at 7 p.m. as the team hosts Abbotsford at Toyota Center. The game marks a "Thirsty Thursday", where fans (21 and older) receive a "second drink free coupon" for The Maple Leaf Pub (Smith and Elgin). The first 500 fans to The Maple Leaf Pub after the game will be able to redeem their coupon for their second drink free.
Aeros season tickets start as low as $9 per seat and may be purchased online at Aeros.com by placing a $100 deposit.
