San Antonio Rampage News Release
Rampage Update: The Rampage capped the week on a positive note, earning a point in Sunday's overtime loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Rampage, who opened the week on a two-game win streak, dropped four games including a 4-3 loss on Monday (Oct. 18) and a 3-1 loss on Wednesday (Oct. 20) to the Edmonton Road Runners. Center Serge Payer played in his 200th AHL game on Oct. 18 in Edmonton and netted a goal to highlight the milestone.
Returning to the SBC Center for a two-game series against the Griffins, the Rampage scored the game's first goals on Friday (Oct. 22) and Sunday (Oct. 24) before letting the lead slip away. On Friday, Rampage's Paul Healey scored at 8:58 in the first period on assists from Stephen Weiss and Gregory Campbell before tying the game to end the period and score a pair of goals in the third, including an empty-net goal for the 3-1 finish. Sunday featured a pair of milestones with Eric Beaudoin and Josh Olson playing their 200th and 100th AHL games respectively. Juraj Kolnik scored a pair of goals, including one in the third period that Olson (who had two assists) assisted on to rally the Rampage to a 3-3 tie and force overtime play.
