
Admirals Split Pair With Pens

NORFOLK, VA â The Admirals hosted Wilkes-Barre/Scranton twice last week, splitting the two games. A three-point performance by Rene Bourque lifted Norfolk to a 4-3 overtime win on October 20. The Penguins scored three times in the second period en route to a 3-2 win over the Admirals on Friday, October 22. Norfolk's game scheduled at Wilkes-Barre on October 23 was postponed due to a water main break in the city.
The Albany River Rats (New Jersey Devils) come to Scope on Wednesday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m. The Admirals then make a three-game road trip to Binghamton (Ottawa) on Friday, Albany on Saturday and Hershey (Colorado) on Sunday.
STANDINGS
At 3-1-0-0 (6 pts), Norfolk is tied for third in the East with Binghamton (3-2-0-0, 6 pts). Albany leads the division with 9 points (4-1-1-0) followed by Bridgeport (4-2-0-0, 8 pts). Philadelphia is fifth (2-2-0-0, 4 points), Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is sixth (1-4-1-0, 3 points) and Hershey is seventh (0-3-1-0, 1 point).
