Lincoln Saltdogs News Release
SHREVEPORT, LA - The only winner at Fair Grounds Field on Saturday was the weather. The game scheduled between the Lincoln Saltdogs and the Shreveport-Bossier Captains was postponed due to rain. Thunderstorms developed in Shreveport early in the afternoon, and the game was postponed two and a half hours before the scheduled first pitch.
The two teams will make up the rainout by playing a doubleheader on Sunday. The first pitch of game one is scheduled for 5:05pm, and as per American Association rules, each game will last seven innings. Lefty Zac Cline and righty Jim Paduch will be the starting pitchers for Lincoln.
The next Saltdogs homestand begins on August 7. For more team and ticket information, go to www.saltdogs.com.
