Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
SHREVEPORT, La. - Due to an afternoon of heavy rain, a very wet field and more precipitation in the forecast Saturday night, the Shreveport-Bossier Captains have announced that their game with the Lincoln Saltdogs has been postponed.
The Captains and Saltdogs will finish their three-game series with a doubleheader on Sunday, August 2, beginning at 5:05 p.m. Both games will be seven innings. $5 Family Night will be in effect for the doubleheader, with a family of five getting admission to Fair Grounds Field for just $5. Gates open to Fair Grounds Field at 4:05 p.m.
Fans with tickets to the August 1 game can use their tickets for the doubleheader, but must exchange them for an August 2 ticket.
This is the first home rainout of the season for the Captains. Shreveport-Bossier swept a doubleheader from the Grand Prairie AirHogs on May 28 in their only other twinbill this season.
