ST. PAUL, MN (August 4, 2008) - For the second consecutive game the St. Paul Saints made some noise late and brought the tying run to the plate, but couldn't come through in a 9-5 loss to the Sioux Falls Canaries on Monday night at Skinny Water Park in front of 6,331.

The Canaries put the game out of reach with a four run eighth inning as they put together five consecutive base hits. Torbert led off with a single and scored on a triple from Ben Van Iderstine. Patrick Reilly added an RBI single making it 7-1 Canaries. Paul Smyth singled Reilly to third and Hutting added an RBI single. Two batters later and Bibbs knocked in his third run of the ballgame with a sacrifice fly.
