About Last Night...Sacramento scored two eighth inning runs en route to an 8-6 win over the Grizzlies. RHP Jeremy Fikac (4-10) suffered the loss in relief, allowing two unearned runs on one hit in two innings. 1B Michael Cervenak and CF Julio Ramirez homered in the loss.

Roster Moves...INF Angel Chavez had his contract purchased from the San Francisco Giants. He was batting .281 with 11 HR and 64 RBI while playing spectacular defense in 89 games with the Grizzlies. INF Michael Cervenak left the team to be part of Team USA.

Grizzlies Sold?...The Fresno City Council voted in favor of the Fresno Baseball Club LLC to purchase the Fresno Grizzlies and take over the stadium lease. The process will now go through the Pacific Coast League, Minor League Baseball, and the Commissioner's Office before the team can officially be sold. This could take 30-60 days.

RBI Machine...Fresno's Michael Cervenak now has 103 RBI on the season, good enough for a first place in the PCL. The 29-year-old corner infielder is now just three RBI shy of the Fresno single season record of 106, set by former Grizzlies' infielder Damon Minor in 2000, but will not play another game for the Grizzlies this season. Bombs Away...Fresno has belted 171 home runs this season, four behind the Albuquerque Isotopes for the lead in the PCL. The Grizzlies are only 13 home runs shy of the franchise single season record of 184 done by the 1998 inaugural team.

Tonight's Starting Pitcher... RHP Seung Song (1-3) will make his ninth start of the season for Fresno. He lost his last outing to Sacramento on 8/25, allowing 2 R on 5 H over 7 IP in a 4-1 loss and is 1-1 with a 2.92 ERA in two starts against Sacramento this season. Song was promoted from double-A Norwich where he was 3-2 with a 2.48 ERA in six games started for the Navigators. Song pitched for class A San Jose before being promoted to Norwich where he maintained a 5-2 record with a1.95 ERA in nine appearances for the Giants.
