Ryan Donally Recalled from ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers

Moline, IL - The Quad City Flames announced today that left winger Ryan Donally has been recalled from the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. At the time of his recall, Donally ranks first in the ECHL in major penalties (12), third in penalty minutes (110) and is tied for fifth in power-play goals (seven).

Donally attended Quad City Flames training camp before joining the Wranglers this fall. The second-year professional has appeared in 25 games for the Wranglers this year and has scored eight goals with six assists for 14 points. During the 2006-07 season, Donally recorded eight points (three goals and five assists) in 33 games with the Wranglers. He also received an 18-game recall to the AHL's Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. During his 2006-07 AHL stint, Donally scored three goals with a pair of assists for five points.

Donally spent his junior career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), primarily with the Windsor Spitfires. In 259 OHL games, he recorded 79 points (33 goals and 46 assists) with 515 penalty minutes. He was a third round selection (97th overall) of the Calgary Flames at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Quad City Flames host the Milwaukee Admirals tonight at 7:05 p.m. Tomorrow, the Iowa Stars are in town for a 7:05 p.m. face-off.
