Falcons lose to Rampage 3-1

December 21, 2007 - The Springfield Falcons lost to the San Antonio Rampage 3-1 on Friday night at the AT &T Center in San Antonio, Texas. The Falcons will look to rebound on Saturday night in Houston.

The Falcons took a 1-0 lead into the third period, but San Antonio tallied three third period markers on their way to a come-from-behind victory. Matt Murley tied the score at 1-1 at 1:39 of the final frame on the power play, followed by Joey Tenute converting at 13:09 and Travis Roche adding an insurance marker at 17:07 of the final frame.

The Falcons opened the scoring with 1:47 remaining in the second period when Liam Reddox scored his ninth goal of the season assisted by Colin McDonald and Marc Pouliot.

There were a pair of altercations in a spirited opening frame as Springfield's Theo Peckham and San Antonio's Pete Vandermeer went toe-to-toe, followed by the Falcons Ryan Flinn and Rampage forward Josh Gratton dropping the gloves as well.
