Ryan Cruthers Returned To Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Ryan Cruthers has been returned to the Royals from the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL. In separate transactions, the Royals also: (i) moved forward Olivier Labelle from the 7-Day Injured Reserve to the 21-Day IR; (ii) moved defenseman Rob LaLonde from the 3-Day Injured Reserve to the 7-Day IR; and (iii) placed forward Jim Gehring on the 3-Day Injured Reserve. In another transaction previously completed, the Royals released forward Max Taylor. Cruthers, a second year pro from Farmingdale, New York, was loaned to the Admirals on January 26, 2010 and played five games for Norfolk, during which he registered an assist and two penalty minutes. In thirty-six games with the Royals this year, Cruthers has racked up thirty-eight points (11g-27a) and picked up forty-seven penalty minutes.

The Royals return to action tonight (Friday, February 5, 2010 @ 7:00 pm) when the team travels to the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey, where they'll face the Trenton Devils for the ninth time this season. The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show at 6:30 pm.
