December 27, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL)
Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that the organization will host the Seventh Annual Road Warriors' Trek To Trenton presented by Classic Harley-Davidson on Saturday, January 14, 2012, when the Royals will take on the Trenton Devils at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey (7:00 pm). The Road Warriors will begin loosening things up that day at 2:30 pm with a pre-game tail-gate party hosted by Classic Harley-Davidson in the parking lot of their showroom facility at 983 James Drive in Leesport, Pennsylvania (610-916-7777, www.classicharley.com). Hot dogs, chips, soft drinks and a certain degree of pre-game pump-up will be provided at the pre-trek tail-gate party. The luxurious buses provided by Carl Bieber Tourways will depart from the Classic-Harley Davidson parking lot at 4:00 pm.
All fans are welcome to become a Road Warrior for just $35.00, which covers round-trip bus transportation to and from Reading and the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, a ticket to the game that night, and the complimentary pre-trek tailgate party at Classic-Harley Davidson. Fans can choose between buses on which adult beverages will be permitted (although not served), and those that will be more family oriented. Road Warriors are permitted to bring a lap-size cooler; but it is important to note that no alcoholic beverages will be permitted on the non-drinking buses. Reservations must be made by January 6, 2012, and can be secured with a credit card by calling Justin Kauffman (610-898-7216); with cash or credit card at the Royals office (Administrative Offices Inside the Sovereign Center at 700 Penn Street); or by registering on-line at www.royalshockeyevents.com/rw.
The Royals also take this opportunity to remind fans that prices on Purple Zone seats for tomorrow's Winter Classic Giveaway game on Turn Back the Clock Night (Wednesday, December 28 @ 7:05 pm) against the Elmira Jackals will be "turned back" $10.00 per ticket from the regular price of $22.00 to just $12.00 in honor of the Sovereign Center's Tenth Anniversary. Please note that these special prices are available on sales at the Sovereign Center Box Office and telephone sales through the Royals' office (610-898-7825), only.
Wednesday's game will be loaded with holiday fun and several lucky fans will be particularly joyous because of the Royals' annual Winter Classic Giveaway, when the team will give away a pair of tickets to all three upcoming hockey events at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park, which is currently undergoing the transformation from a baseball field into an outdoor hockey rink.
Also, this Friday (December 30, 2011 @ 7:05 pm) the Royals will cap the holiday season and the 2011 calendar year with a showdown against the Trenton Titans at the Sovereign Center. That night, the Royals will honor a big part of our local heritage with a whole host of activities designed to pay homage to Pennsylvania Dutch traditions.
The game night broadcast on Wednesday when Elmira Jackals visit the Sovereign Center will start at 6:35 pm with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading. Streaming audio is available free of charge courtesy of America One through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com and live streaming video is available on a pay-per-view basis through America One (www.americaone.com).
