TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After taking a few days to enjoy Christmas break, the Cyclones get back to action tonight as they bid for a season-high four consecutive wins. For the third time in two weeks, the Kalamazoo Wings will make another visit to U.S. Bank Arena. The Clones earned a 5-1 decision over the Wings last Wednesday, improving to 12-5-1 against Kalamazoo in Downtown Cincinnati since 2006.

TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: Kids Eat Free Night!! Fans ages 2-12 will receive a FREE meal courtesy of John Morrell, Snack Healthy, Sunkist, and Sun Drop!

SCOUTING THE WINGS: Nick Bootland's club hasn't had much to celebrate about of late, dropping three-straight games. They hold a nine-point edge over Cincinnati in the North Division standings but have played five more games. Three of the Wings' top four scorers are no longer on the active roster; Brandon Svendsen and Dean Strong are still playing in the American Hockey League while Kory Karlander is on the 21-day injured reserved list. Instead, Kalamazoo's top scorer is Trent Daavettila - who has 24 points (3 goals, 21 assists) in 28 games. His assist totals rank third best in the ECHL. Maxime Clermont, who lost his battle against Cincinnati last week, has started in two of Kalamazoo's last three games. This season, he has earned a 4-3-0 record with a 3.39 goals against average. Riley Gill is 11-7-0-2 with a 3.07 GAA this year, 4-1 against Cincy.

About Thursday Night vs Chicago: Mathieu Aubin tipped in the game-winning goal with 7:52 gone in the third period as the Cyclones held on to defeat the Express by a 4-3 final score in front of 2,886 at U.S. Bank Arena on Thursday night. The major storyline, however, was a full-scale line brawl that took place in the second period. In total, 103 penalty minutes were handed out in the middle frame of Thursday's game including five game misconduct penalties.

Strong Between the Pipes: Brian Foster has won five of his first six games since being assigned from San Antonio, including three straight. His 2.68 goals-against average ranks ninth-best among all active goaltenders with at least five starts this season.

Strike Early, Strike Often: Like many teams across pro hockey, the Cyclones are tough to beat when they get an early lead. This season, they're 9-4-0-1 when scoring first and 5-1-0-1 when scoring the first two goals of the game. In addition, the Cyclones are 5-1-0 at home when leading after 20 minutes of play and a perfect 5-0 when leading after 40 minutes.

Still Unfriendly Hosts: With another pair of home wins last week, the Cyclones improved to 9-1-0-2 at U.S. Bank Arena this season. They have the fewest home losses in the ECHL to date and have allowed a league-low 30 goals at home.

Kill Shots: The Cyclones' PK unit has been especially impressive at home this season, contributing to its strong record at 100 Broadway. Through 12 home tilts, Cincy has extinguished 84.1% of its penalties at U.S. Bank Arena, which ranks fourth-best in the ECHL.
