(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye and head Coach Nick Vitucci announced today that forward Chris DiDomenico and Defenseman Ben Youds (YOWDS) have been assigned to Toledo from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL. Toledo has also agreed to terms with goaltender Dustin Carlson and released both forward Anthony Iaquinto and goaltender Christian Davis.
DiDomenico played last night for Rockford in a 7-3 loss at Milwaukee and did not collect a point. Chris has 16 points (4g, 12a) in 16 games with the Walleye this year. Youds joins the Walleye after appearing in 14 games with the IceHogs in this his first professional season. Ben has one goal and three assists with Rockford. The Maple Grove, Minnesota native played four years of college hockey at Minnesota State-Mankato.
Carlson started this season with Ontario in the ECHL. The first year goaltender posted a 2-1-0 record with a 2.37 goals against average and a .915 save percentage for the Reign. The Forest Lake, Minnesota native played his college hockey at the Ohio State University.
