
Royals Reassigned Second Leading Scorer by Hershey

READING, PA â The Reading Royals have announced that the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League have reassigned forward David Masse to Reading. Masse recently signed an American Hockey League contract with the Bears on November 6, 2003. His second tour of the duty with Hershey this season began on November 20. Masse has appeared in six games with the Bears this season and registered one goal and no penalty minutes.
The rookie hailing Montreal Quebec has appeared in 13 games with the Royals and popped in 5 goals and 11 assists. He is tied for fourth in scoring and third in assists among ECHL rookies. Masse ranks second on the Royals club in scoring. Masse, who turns 21 years old today, traveled yesterday to Charleston, South Carolina and will appear in the line up tonight as the Royals finish up their five-game in seven day road trip against the South Carolina Stingrays.
The Royals return home for a pair of games on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6 against the Roanoke Express. Rieck's Printing is handing out 2,000 first series sets of Royals hockey trading cards on Friday, while on Saturday St. Joseph Medical Center is providing Royals Growth Charts to the first 1,000 children 12 and under.
