
Larocque and Lephart Called Up, Fata returns to Wheeling

WHEELING, WV â The Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL announce that the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League have recalled forward Mike Lephart and defenseman Mario Larocque. To replace Larocque on the Nailers roster, the Penguins have sent Drew Fata to Wheeling.
Larocque return to the American Hockey League for the first time since playing for the Rochester Americans during the 2001-2002 season. This will be his first call-up to the Penguins. Larocque has four points, all assists, in 16 games played this season with the Nailers. He is also second on the team with 61 penalty minutes. Last season he had 44 points on 18 goals and 26 assists in 66 games, his first season with Wheeling.
Lephart has been recalled to the Penguins and released from his contract to pursue an opportunity to play in Finland. This was his first season with the Nailers after two season with the Philadelphia Phantoms in the AHL. Lephart had nine points on four goals and five assists in 16 games with the Nailers. Lephart will be playing for the Lahden Pelicans.
Fata returns to the Nailers for the second time this season. He played the first four games of the season and has two points on one goal and one assist with 11 penalty minutes. Fata has appeared in eight games for the Penguins this season and has one goal and two penalty minutes.
The Nailers play three games this weekend, two on the road and one at WesBanco Arena. The Nailers travel to Cincinnati Friday for a 7:30p.m. game against the Cyclones. On Saturday the Nailers play in Toledo at 7:30p.m. The Nailers return home on Sunday at 6:00p.m. against the Trenton Titans. It will be the second of eight Ticket Redemption Nights at WesBanco Arena. Fans with unused tickets from previous Nailers home games can redeem those tickets for tickets to the game on Sunday. It is also Military Night with all members of the military getting a discounted ticket at the WesBanco Box Office with their military ID. Fans can also drop off letters and cards to be sent to members of the Armed Forces stationed abroad.
