
Mississippi Announces Top Players In November

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi Sea Wolves Professional Hockey announced today that center Louis Dumont has been named the organization's Player of the Month for November, defenseman Jason Kean is the Rookie of the Month, while Greg Gardner takes the Goaltender of the Month honors.
The Sea Wolves finished November with a 5-6-2 record and sit in fourth place in the Central Division of the ECHL.
Dumont, 30, tallied a team-high eight goals to go along with eight assists, while accumulating a +5 rating in 13 games. The 5-foot-10 and 180-pound native of Wetaskiwin, Alberta became the all-time ECHL scoring leader by notching a goal on November 27 against Columbus, for his 690th ECHL point.
Kean, 24, signed as free agent on November 23. The 5-foot-11 and 195-pound native of Nanaimo, British Columbia posted a +1 rating in four games, along with eight penalty minutes. Kean is the only rookie on the Sea Wolves roster.
Gardner, 28, appeared in 12 of Mississippi's 13 games last month. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario went 5-5-2, while posting a goals against average of 3.14 and .904 save percentage. The fourth year pro is under contract to the Rochester Americans of the AHL.
The Sea Wolves get back into action with two home games on the weekend. Mississippi hits the ice at 7:35 p.m. on Friday against Pensacola at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The featured game promotion is 2-for-1 military night, sponsored by Keesler Federal Credit Union. On Saturday, Mississippi plays host to the Texas Wildcatters at 7:35 p.m. at the Wolves Den. It's Game 3 in the battle for the Nextel Cup, which the Sea Wolves lead 2 games to 0. Game promotions consist of $2 beer and $2 hotdogs from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Robert Bloor straight jacket escape during the first intermission and postgame party for all ages at Club Caribe.
