St. Cloud, MN - St. Cloud (10-2) brought the winning run to the plate in the ninth but came up short in a 3-1 loss to Willmar (7-6) on Sunday.

John Nett (St. Cloud State) continued his great week at the Rock Pile, hitting the first home run of the season at Joe Faber Field. Nett finished the day with two hits and drove in the Rox lone run.

To start the day, Joe Battaglia (Southern) received the ball for the second straight Sunday. Battaglia made it through six innings, allowing just two runs to keep the Rox in the game into the late innings.

Zane Badmaev (Tarleton State) was the only other Rox pitcher to see the mound on Sunday. Badmaev threw two perfect innings and the only blemish on his line was a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning.
