St. Cloud, Minn. - The Rox were defeated by the Rochester Honkers tonight 2-0. It took ten innings for the first run to cross the plate in another pitchers' dual.

Reese Gregory (St. Cloud State) started the game for the Rox and went eight innings, striking out seven batters and allowing only two runs in front of a home crowd of 1,934. Sheldon Miks (St. Cloud State) came in to pitch in the ninth inning and was then followed by Robbie Petty (Nicholls State).

Gregory has now gone 16 straight innings without allowing a run, striking out 18 batters and only allowing five total hits.

Joe Tietjen (UNC Asheville) and Liam Bedford (Doane College) both recorded two hits. Tietjen stole his league leading tenth base of the season tonight.

The two teams play again tomorrow at 6:05 p.m.. Tomorrow night is Teacher Appreciation Night presented by Country Financial. Teachers receive a general admission ticket for $5 with credentials.
