Cats Split Series With Eau Claire

Thunder Bay Border Cats News Release
The Cats record drops to 3-1 at home with a 10-5 loss against the Express Thursday night. Thunder Bay started off strong with a 5-3 lead into the top of the seventh inning when Eau Claire doubled the Cats resulting in a 10-5 lead for the Wisconsin team.
The Border Cats cycled through eight pitchers with Kyle Von Ruden (University of Hawaii) taking the loss. Von Ruden allowed six runs on four hits in half of the seventh inning. Starting pitcher, Julian Loret De Mola (Nova Southeastern), started the game off strong allowing only one run on two hits and three strikeouts over the first three innings.
The Cats collected three of their runs in the bottom of the fourth inning thanks to four errors on the part of various members of the Eau Claire roster. Mikael Mogues (Seton Hall University) lead the Cats with two runs on zero hits along with Nate Nolan (St. Mary's College) notching two runs and two RBI's.
The Cats look to start off a new series against Alexandria strong Friday night at 7:05pm EST.
