MoonDogs Fall in Final Frame to Bucks

Mankato, MN - The MoonDogs dropped a heart breaker to the Waterloo Bucks Friday night at Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato, Minnesota.

Controlling for much of the game, the ninth inning proved to be disastrous for the MoonDogs. A costly error and timely hitting by the Bucks would result in three runs in the top of the ninth inning.

In the bottom half of the frame the MoonDogs would get two runners on but were shut down by Waterloo's Sean Trimble. Taking the loss would be Kyle Goodbrand.

Offensively seven MoonDogs would record hits in the game. Boomer Synek and Paul Panaccione both went 2-for-4. MoonDog newcomer, Panaccione also added one RBI. Infielder Sulliam Rios-Ryes went 1-for-3 and drove in a pair.

Brett Clark got the ball to start the game for the MoonDogs. He threw six strong innings only allowing one run scattered four hits and struck out five.

Jack Czeszewski came on in relief of Clark and threw two innings and gave up two runs.

For Waterloo, Mark Hernandez went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Tyler Selesky also went 2-for-4 to lead the charge.

Game two of the series between Waterloo and Mankato is tomorrow night at The Frank 6:05pm first pitch where it is Country Night. Two sets of two tickets to the sold out Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean Concert at Target Field will be given away.
