Green Bay, Wis.- The Green Bay Bullfrogs were defeated 5-2 against the Kalamazoo Growlers on June 5 at Joannes Stadium.

In his second start, Nathan Disch retired the first 10 batters in order with four strikeouts. He finished the game with 5 2/3 innings, allowed three earned runs on six hits and struck out six batters.

Following Disch's exit, Tommy Strunc finished the rest of the sixth inning, and Connor Donovan made his Bullfrogs' debut with an inning of work. Ben Messenger pitched the final two innings for Green Bay.

The Bullfrogs scored a their two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning with an RBI single from Evan Ruechel, playing in his first game at Joannes Stadium. Tyler McDowell scored on a double-play groundout hit by Tyler Kozlowski.

Keegan Baar picked up the win for the Growlers. He threw seven innings, gave up an earned run on four hits and struck out five while walking four batters. Nick Wernke earned the save in a scoreless ninth inning for Kalamazoo.

The Bullfrogs will look for a split in the two-game series tomorrow at 6:05 p.m. at Joannes Stadium. Saturday night's game will feature post game fireworks presented by Pepsi, which will be followed by the Human Cannonball launch with David "The Bullet" Smith.
