Wausau, WIS- Wausau has had a team in the Northwoods League since its inception in 1994, making this the 22nd year a NWL team has played at Athletic Park! It is also the year that the millionth Woodchucks Fan attended a game!

At last night's game against the Kalamazoo Growlers, which the Woodchucks won 7-1, Kaleb Farrar walked through the gates with his grandparents and siblings to become the millionth fan to attend a Woodchucks game!

Kaleb was treated like Woodchucks royalty all night as he was able to throw out the first pitch and his family's seats were upgraded to reserved!

The Woodchucks organization has grown over the last 22 years, starting as a league owned team until being purchased by Clark Eckhoff in 1998. In 2012 the team was purchased by current owner, Mark Macdonald. Macdonald has invested over $6.5 million into the facility to ensure the Woodchucks will make Athletic Park their home for 30 more years; which will mean many more fans can continue to enjoy the fun of a Woodchucks baseball game!

The WISCONSIN WOODCHUCKS next home game is tonight, at 7:05 p.m. against the LaCrosse Loggers. Tonight is also Daddy/Daughter Date Night and post-game Fireworks are being presented by Time Federal Savings bank. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online, at woodchucks.com, by calling the Ticket Office, at 715.845.5055, by stopping by the Front Office at 300 3rd St. Suite 305, Wausau WI, or by stopping by the Athletic Park Ticket Window after 1:30 p.m. on gamedays.
