Kyle Crnkovic (3) scored 1:19 into overtime on Friday night lifting the Saskatoon Blades to a 2-1 victory at SaskTel Centre over the visiting Regina Pats. The win was the third straight for the Blades who improve to 24-11-5-0 on the season.
Max Gerlach (23) had the Blades' lone goal in regulation; Chase Wouters and Gary Haden added the assists. Gary Haden and Brandon Schuldhaus assisted on the overtime winner.
Nolan Maier made stopped 32/33 shots faced to earn his 20th win of the season and first star of the game. Max Paddock went 36/38 in goal for Regina and was named the game's second star.
Saskatoon went 1/2 on the power play and 2/3 on the penalty kill.
NOTEWORTHY NUMBERS
Max Gerlach scored his team leading 23rd goal in his 250th career WHL game.
Gary Haden tallied 2 assists running his point streak to 5 games.
Chase Wouters added an assist giving the Blades captain 5 points in his last 3 games.
Kyle Crnkovic scored his 1st career game winning goal, giving the rookie 5 points in his last 6 games.

The Blades hit the road on Saturday to visit the league leading Prince Albert Raiders at 7:00pm at the Art Hauser Centre. On Sunday, the Blades return home to host the Brandon Wheat Kings at 4:00pm at SaskTel Centre.
