
ICE Welcome Spokane for Final Time this Season

Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE (8-25-6-1) host the Spokane Chiefs (21-13-2-2) for the second and final time this season on Saturday, January 5.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.
Saturday's game is ICE Education Fund Night presented by Cranbrook KIA. A special one-time only offer is being made available to ICE Country. Each individual to make a minimum donation of $10 to the ICE Education Fund will receive a FREE Adult walk-up ticket to Saturday's game. Furthermore, if a $5 donation is made, the individual will receive a FREE Child/ Student walk-up ticket. All proceeds for walk-up ticket donations will go to the ICE Education Fund.
A full set of the retro 'K' jerseys will be part of a silent auction, which begins on Saturday at 6 p.m. and lasts until January 12.

The ICE are coming off of a 5-3 loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers on January 4. The ICE received two goals from Jaeger White, while Austin Schellenberg picked up the other. Peyton Krebs recorded two assists in the game. ICE goaltender Jesse Makaj stopped 24-of-29 shots that came his way. The Tigers received two goals from Tyler Preziuso, while Hayden Ostir, Ryan Chyzowski and Josh Williams added the others. The ICE outshot the Tigers 32-29. They went 1-for-2 on the power play, 5-for-5 on the penalty kill and won 30-of-73 face-offs.
The ICE have amassed 23 points this season, which is good for sixth in the Central Division and 11th in the Eastern Conference.
The ICE have a home record of 6-13-3-0.

The Spokane Chiefs visit the Kootenay ICE for the second and final time this season on Saturday, January 5. The Chiefs haven't played in Cranbrook since September 28, 2018. Following Saturday's game, the Chiefs play four-straight at home. The Chiefs don't play again until Wednesday, January 9. Heading into Saturday's game, the Chiefs are third in the U.S. Division and fourth in the Western Conference.
