Ron Howard Returns to Mad Ants

FORT WAYNE, IN (November 1, 2013) - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants presented by Lutheran Health Network announced today that they have acquired their all-time leading scorer, Ron Howard, for the 2013-14 season.

Howard averaged 19.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game over 35 games last season. He recorded a season high 30 points against the Maine Red Claws on 12/21/12. Nicknamed "Mr. Mad Ant," Howard has played for the Mad Ants since their 2007-08 inaugural season. He has played in 198 games as a Mad Ant, averaging 16.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game over six seasons.

Ron and his wife, Reesha, reside in Fort Wayne with their two daughters, Chloe and Peyton. They run Game Day Sports Camp, a summer camp for local children grades K-8.
