Austin Toros Select Kyle Hunt NBA D-League Draft

AUSTIN, TX - The Austin Toros selected Kyle Hunt with the 12th pick in the first round of the 2013 NBA D-League draft Friday night. Hunt, a 6-9, 228 power forward, played collegiately at Middle Tennessee State and Oklahoma Science and Arts. Most recently, he played in Uruguay for Club Atletico Olimpia Montevideo and averaged 18.8 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks.

"We are very excited with our selections from this year's NBA D-League Draft. The opportunity to add depth and talent at every position will make for a very competitive and productive training camp," said Toros Head Coach Ken McDonald.

In the second round, the Toros selected guard Cameron Bennerman with the 29th pick (6-4, 205, NC State). With subsequent picks, the Toros selected guard Greg Gantt (6-2,205, Florida Atlantic), center Chief Kickingstallionisms (7-1, 265, Alabama State), forward Keith Chamberlain (6-9, 240, Grinnell), guard Michael Sturns (6-5, 210, Holy Family), forward Yan Moukoury (6'7, 225, Brewton Parker) and center Blake Thompson (7-0, 245, Prairie View A&M).

All players will report to Austin for training camp beginning November 7.
