Kenosha, Wis. - The Green Bay Rockers took down the Kenosha Kingfish 6-2 Sunday afternoon at Simmons Field, concluding their three-game road trip with a wire-to-wire victory and splitting the two-game weekend series at Kenosha.

Despite an hour-long rain delay that pushed the start time back to 2:25 p.m. the Rockers took control from the beginning to win their seventh game of the season, as they head back home for Monday's matchup against the Wausau Woodchucks.

Following the delay, Green Bay's starter Christian Foutch (Arkansas) pitched a scoreless bottom of the first, retiring all three Kingfish he faced to keep it knotted up at zeros apiece heading into the second.

Even with each team having several baserunners reach in the second and third innings, neither offense broke through as both Foutch and Kenosha's starting pitcher Grayson Murry (Tyler Junior College) pitched scoreless frames in those two innings to keep it a scoreless tie entering the fourth inning.

The Rockers offense got through to Murry in the fourth and scored first on an RBI infield single from Luke Moeller (Arizona) to take a 1-0 lead.

After Green Bay scored their second run moments later on a wild pitch, Max Mims (Southwestern University) smashed a two-RBI triple to right field, pushing their lead to 4-0 with Kyle West (University of Charleston) coming up to the plate.

West delivered an RBI single to bring home Mims from third, capping off the five-run inning with Green Bay in control up 5-0 going into the bottom of the fourth.

Fellow Razorback Cooper Dossett threw a scoreless fourth inning to keep Kenosha further off the board, as an inning-ending double play did not allow the Kingfish to cut into the Green Bay lead, with the Rockers still up 5-0 entering the fifth.

Following a scoreless fifth inning on both sides, Green Bay tacked on another in the sixth inning courtesy of an RBI single from Cooper Kelly (Kansas), putting the Green Bay lead to 6-0 with the Rockers still in firm control.

Dossett pitched a scoreless bottom of the sixth to keep the Rockers ahead, and AJ Anzai (Chapman) then followed it up with not allowing a run in the seventh, maintaining the Green Bay lead at 6-0 with the game approaching the eighth.

Anzai tossed his second scoreless inning in a row in the bottom of the eighth, including recording his first strikeout of the afternoon, taking the game into the ninth with Green Bay still up 6-0 over Kenosha.

Despite the Kingfish scoring two runs in the bottom of the ninth, Horvath sealed the deal for Green Bay with three strikeouts, handing Green Bay the 6-2 victory to split the two-game series over Kenosha Sunday afternoon.

Green Bay now returns home to take on the Woodchucks Monday night at Capital Credit Union Park. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. with the pregame concert performed by Seth James beginning at 5:35 p.m. It is also free hot dog Monday at the ballpark, meaning that hot dogs are free for all fans for the first 90 minutes after gates open.
