Indianapolis Indians News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - Durham's shortstop Daniel Robertson tallied four hits and drove in four to hand Indianapolis a 9-2 loss on Monday at Victory Field in the series opener with the Bulls.

Steven Brault (1-2) was saddled with the loss for allowing four runs on nine hits, the most hits surrendered by an Indians starter this season. He struck out five in four innings on the day. It marked just the third game this season in which a Tribe starter has surrendered more than two runs.

Brault was opposed by Adam Wilk (1-2), who received the win for seven innings of two-hit ball and no earned runs allowed.

Robertson finished a home run shy of the cycle, tripling and scoring in the first inning to hand the Bulls (12-14) a lead they would not relinquish as they plated a run in six of the nine frames.

Seven Indianapolis (12-11) batters collected a hit, led by Pedro Flormon with two. Gift Ngoepe picked up the Tribe's lone RBI with a line drive single to center in the seventh inning.

The Indians will look to rebound tomorrow night back at Victory Field. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
