Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons host the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in the first game of a three-game series from Coca-Cola Field (6:05 p.m.). Tonight's game opens a seven-game homestand for the Herd, its longest of the season so far. Buffalo is just 2-5 at home this season and an even .500 (8-8) away from Western New York.

Last Game (Postponed)

The Bisons and IronPigs were rained out on Sunday from Allentown, PA. The teams will make up the game as part of a day-night doubleheader on June 18 at Coca-Cola Park. The teams split the first two games of the series before yesterday's postponement.

vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (2-1)

The Bisons took three of four from the RailRiders when they met at PNC Field, April 18-21. That is the Herd's only series win of 2016. Buffalo scored 23 runs in the four-game set (4.6/G) and hit .311 as a team. The Bisons were just 3-6 against the RailRiders at home in 2015.

Wade LeBlanc

LHP Wade LeBlanc has posted a Bisons' best 2.22 ERA over his first four starts of the season. He has allowed two or fewer runs in each start with just three walks to 20 strikeouts over his last three outings. LeBlanc allowed two runs in six innings in a no-decision last Tuesday against Rochester. The southpaw defeated Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on April 20 with a season-high seven innings of one-run baseball.

Jesus Montero

DH Jesus Montero is tied for 3rd in the International League with 28 hits on the season. Montero has reached base safely in 19 of his 22 games this season with a .341 on-base pct. He leads the Bisons with eight extra-base hits (6 doubles, 2 home runs), is 2nd with 11 runs scored and 3rd with 13 RBI.

Bullpen Notes

Both LHP Chad Girodo and RHP Chad Jenkins are 2-0 coming out of the bullpen this season. Girodo has posted a 1.04 ERA in eight outings, including his first Triple-A save last Friday in Lehigh Valley. Jenkins has a 0.93 ERA in his six relief outings, allowing just six hits in 9.2 innings of work. LHP Pat McCoy has a 1.59 ERA, having worked two or more innings in five of his six appearances.

Bisons Bits

OF Domonic Brown is tied for 2nd in the International League with 16 RBI and tied for 3rd with four home runs...The Bisons are 8-0 when outhitting their opponents and only 2-13 when they are outhit...INF Andy Burns is 3rd in the IL with seven doubles. He had 26 doubles in 126 games with the Bisons last season.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (12-14) were 5-1 winners over the Rays on Sunday to pick up the 2-1 series win in Tampa Bay. SS Troy Tulowitzki hit a three-run home run in a four-run ninth inning for Toronto. Former Bisons RHP Marcus Stroman allowed just one run over eight innings to get the win on his 25th birthday. Toronto will host Texas tonight at 7:07 p.m.
