THIRD ANNUAL TEDDY BEAR TOSS NIGHT! The Rivermen invite everyone to bring a new or gently-used teddy bear to the game on Friday night and throw it on the ice when the Rivermen score so that less-fortunate children in the Peoria area can have a brighter Christmas. Firefighters Local 50 will be spearheading the bear collection this year and distributing the toys in time for the Holidays. Wrap your toy in a plastic bag to keep the moisture off its fur!
Pucks 'N' Purses Night will take place on Friday as well, with local businesses setting up a female-oriented expo in the Civic Center halls just in time for holiday gift ideas and shopping tips - right guys? **nudge, nudge, wink, wink** If your business is interesting in having a table at the game, call Katie Kerr at (309) 680-3791 for more information.
Saturday, December 8
Vs. Quad City Flames - 7 pm
Salvation Army COATS FOR KIDS NIGHT will take place on Saturday night, with all fans asked to please bring down a new or used coat, sweater, or blanket for distribution by the Salvation Army to needy are children. If you can't make it to the game the Rivermen will accept donations the week of the game leading up to the contest as well through the team offices at 201 SW Jefferson Ave in the Peoria Civic Center.
Saturday also marks the first PAR-A-DICE Hotel Casino "Playful Vegas Escape" Night. Two lucky fans will win round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and dinner in Las Vegas! Enter to win at the Rivermen game on Saturday night - must be 21 or older with valid ID to participate.
Tuesday, December 11
Vs. Hamilton Bulldogs - 7 pm
The Peoria Rivermen presents a Congressional Forum for the 18th Congressional House Seat featuring John Morris, Jim McConoughey, and Aaron Shock prior to the team's game against the Hamilton Bulldogs on Tuesday, December 11. This forum will be moderated by Matt Jones from Johnson, Brunce & Noble, P.C. Admission to the forum is $5 and includes your ticket to that night's contest in the price as well. Educate yourself to your choices in the 18th Congressional House race and join us for what promises to be an entertaining and enlightening forum!
Tuesday is also NESQUICK TWO-FOR-TUESDAY - Bring any Nesquik product UPC to the Peoria Civic Center Box Office for buy-one, get-one free upper bowl tickets!

Thursday, November 29 - RIVERMEN 3 @ Chicago Wolves 4 (OT)
Brett Sterling's hat trick included the game-winning goal in overtime to pace the Chicago Wolves to a 4-3 overtime victory at home over Peoria on Thursday night. Yan Stastny, Jean-Guy Trudel, and Julian Talbot scored for Peoria in regulation, with Talbot's marker coming just 12 seconds before the end of regulation time to force the extra session.
Friday, November 30 - RIVERMEN 0 @ Houston Aeros 1 (OT)
The goaltending duel of the season went to overtime between Peoria's Marek Schwarz and Houston's Nolan Shaefer, where Houston finally scored a power play goal in OT to take the win. Schwarz stopped 22 shots in helping Peoria earn a point while Shaefer turned aside all 26 Rivermen shots against for the shutout.
Saturday, December 1 - RIVERMEN 6 @ San Antonio Rampage 5
Charles Linglet scored twice, including his 50th AHL goal, and added an assist to pace the Rivermen offense in a 6-5 win on Saturday night at San Antonio. Ryan Reaves scored the game-winning goal, his first as a pro, and also added an assist. Nicholas Drazenovic and Jean-Guy Trudel also notched multiple-point games in the victory.
