Tuesday December 4th is Maine Diner Day!

The Maine Diner, located at 2265 Post Road, Route One in Wells, Maine will donate all proceeds raised Tuesday December 4th to Gary's House. Eric Weinrich, Mike Hoffman, Matt Keith, Brendan Segal and other members of the Portland Pirates will be at the event from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Fans who eat at the Diner Tuesday can enter a raffle to win a Pirates jersey signed by the 2007-2008 team!

Gary's house is a nine-bedroom home located on State Street in Portland, which serves as a hospitality home for family members of patients at local hospitals. Gary's House opened its doors on December 13, 1998. Mercy Hospital sponsors the ongoing operation of the home. To learn more about Gary's House or to make a donation, click here.

Want to Date a Pirate?

As part of Coast 93.1's "Date a Pirate" Portland Pirates forward Matt Keith will select his date on Thursday, March 6th at 8:00 am. The winner will be Matt's date to the 9th Annual Evening with the Pirates at the Holiday Inn by the Bay on March 4th.

Tuesday, December 11

Fans will have the opportunity to meet Pirates players at the Shaw's Supermarket at 91 Northgate Plaza on Auburn St. in Portland, ME from 4-5 p.m. The Pirates players will be signing autographs and giving fans a chance to enter to win Pirates tickets and other prizes.

Saturday, December 15

Saturday Night is Hockey Night in Portland! Just in time for the Holidays - one lucky fan is going to go home with a diamond courtesy of Day's Jewelers. Fans can enter inthe lobby on their way in. During the second intermission, one lucky fan's name will be drawn!

Tonight's Pirates game will be televised live on Time Warner Cable in Cumberland and York Counties on Time Warner Cable Channel 22 and in former Adelphia service areas wherever TW9 is available.

The Pirates hit the road to play a home game in Alfond Arena at the University of Maine in Orono, ME. This game is presented by Maine Savings. Visit the Maine Savings home page to order tickets to the game at a special discounted price.

Tickets are on sale now for just $17.00. Tickets can be purchased by calling the UMaine Box Office at (207) 581-BEAR or 1-800-756-TEAM. The box office is open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Fans canalso purchase tickets and ride on a Pirates Fan Bus from Portland to Orono for $40.00 ($35.00 for Pirates Season Ticket Holders), and $23.00 for just the bus transportation. To purchase bus tickets, fans can call the Pirates office at (207) 828-4665 ext. 350 to make reservations.
