Rivermen to host Goodwill Toy Drive on Saturday, November 6

Peoria, Ill. (November 4, 2004) - President Bart Rogers of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that the team will host a Goodwill Industries, Inc. Toy Drive on Saturday, November 6, as the team faces off against the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies at Carver Arena at 7:00 p.m.
All Rivermen fans are encouraged to bring a toy to the game to donate to Goodwill. As a thank you, each fan who donates will receive a certificate for a free Coca-Cola product from the Carver Arena concession stands, courtesy of Centerplate Catering, and a coupon for a free large sandwich with purchase from one of the 11 Peoria-area McDonald's/Clark Management locations.
The Peoria Rivermen are a proud affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and a member of the ECHL - The Premier "AA" Hockey League. Peoria continues its ninth season in the 28-team league Friday, November 5, when they host the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in the first of two in a row between the clubs at Carver Arena. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Spider-Man will appear courtesy of Marvel Comics. On Saturday, November 6, the Rivermen and the Boardwalk Bullies do battle again at 7:00 p.m. Season ticket packages and group tickets for 2004-2005 are available by calling the Rivermen at 309.676.1040.
