Manchester Releases Dora…Lynch Traded to Gulls

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals, affiliates of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and AHL's Manchester Monarchs, have announced that recently recalled left wing Lukas Dora has been released from his American Hockey League contract. The Royals have traded forward Chris Lynch to San Diego for cash considerations.

Dora, 24, appeared in three games with Reading this season. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound native of Lednice, Czech Republic was held scoreless and accumulated two penalty minutes. Dora, a rookie out of Denver University, did not appear in a regular season game with the Monarchs this season. He participated in the Monarchs 2004 training camp and was loaned to the Royals on October 4. Lynch, 26, was acquired by the Royals in February of this year. He came to Reading in a four player trade with the Greenville Grrrowl on February 3. Reading acquired Lynch and defenseman Eric Lind in exchange for defenseman Jon Zion and forward Nick Lent. Lynch appeared in 28 regular season games with Reading and tallied four goals and 13 points with 15 minutes in penalties. He also participated in 15 post-season contests and registered two assists and 16 penalty minutes. Prior to joining Reading, Lynch was honored with an ECHL All-Star appearance for the Southern Conference.

The Reading Royals are entering their fourth season in Reading, Pennsylvania after relocating from Columbus, Ohio. The Royals enjoyed their first Kelly Cup playoff appearance last season, claiming the Northern Division Title and were one win away from qualifying for the Kelly Cup Finals. The Royals and the City of Reading are proud to be hosting the 13th annual ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition presented by Coors Light on January 25 and 26.

Reading returns home after a five-game road trip on Friday, November 12 against the Wheeling Nailers. Papa John's is handing out Royals magnetic schedules to the first 5,000 fans through the gates. Saturday, Reading hosts Dayton and Blue Ball National Bank is handing out Royals mini-CD calendar wallpaper to the first 1,500 fans. Plus, immediately following the game, a post-game party at the Outside In Restaurant and Bar on 6th and Penn Streets in downtown Reading. Both games face off at 7:05 p.m. at the Sovereign Center.
