
Rivermen Announce Revised ECHL Schedule for 2004-2005 Season

Peoria, Ill. (July 27, 2004) â The Peoria Rivermen, in conjunction with the ECHL â America's Premier AA Hockey League, announced today one minor change in the team's 72-game schedule for the 2004-2005 season. This will mark Peoria's ninth campaign in the ECHL and the 23rd for professional hockey in Central Illinois.
With the revised schedule, the Rivermen will play their Saturday, December 4 road game in Toledo, Ohio against the archrival Storm, instead of in Dayton against the archrival Bombers. Peoria's home schedule will not change. Peoria will now face off against the Storm 11 times â five at home and six on the road â during the year. The Rivermen will now battle the Bombers nine times with five home contests and four road contests.
The Peoria Rivermen are a proud affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and a member of the ECHL â America's Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Rivermen open their ninth season in the 28-team league on Friday, October 22, 2004, when they host the archrival Dayton Bombers at Carver Arena.
