The Countdown Begins... Condors Preseason Dates Announced

Bakersfield, Calif. â The Bakersfield Condors will get ready for their first action of the 2004-05 ECHL campaign with a pair of preseason matches against their Highway 99 Rivals, the Fresno Falcons. In addition, a couple minor changes to the team's road schedule have been made.
The Condors training camp is set to open on October 8th, with two weeks to prepare for Opening Night against Victoria on October 22nd. As part of annual training camp festivities, two preseason games have been scheduled with the Fresno Falcons. The Condors travel north for a game on Friday, October 15th and the Falcons will come to town the following evening on Saturday, October 16th. Full season ticket holders and "The Weekender" mini plan holders have a ticket to this game included in their packages.
A few changes have been made to the Condors regular season docket as well, though no alterations are in regards to home games. The December 15th game in San Diego has been eliminated and the team will instead play an additional game in Las Vegas on December 17th, making it a two-game series with the Wranglers. Also, the Condors East Coast swing saw two game changes, and will now begin on January 5th in Trenton. Another addition was made with a visit to Reading on January 11th. The trip will consist of six games in eight days in four different cities.
A time has been announced as well for one of the Condors home dates. The game on Thursday, December 2nd has been designated a school field trip game, and the puck will drop at 10:30 a.m. Anyone interested in having their school or students attend should contact GM Chris Freshour at the Condors office at 324-PUCK.
The Bakersfield Condors open their second season in the ECHL at home on October 22nd against the expansion Victoria Salmon Kings. Seven players are currently under contract with defensemen Ryan Coole, Guy Dupuis, Ryan Gillis and David Kudelka, and forwards Todd Alexander, Paul Rosebush and Martin Streit.
