RiverHawks Sign Rookie

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks have signed a rookie pitcher with two titles already under his belt.

The RiverHawks announced Wednesday that they have signed right-hander Kyle Lindquist, who was part of Marietta College's second straight NCAA Division III national champion team this spring. Lindquist was 3-0 with a 1.37 earned-run average and seven saves in 19 appearances, one as a starter, for the Pioneers. He struck out 39 and walked seven in 46 innings. Lindquist was a second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference pick.

Lindquist saved a school-record 21 games in his career at Marietta.
