
Herrera, Lee and Greener Named 2012 Frontier League All-Stars

LOVES PARK, Ill. - Outfielder Javier Herrera, pitcher Mike Lee and third baseman Matt Greener will represent the Rockford RiverHawks in the 2012 State Farm Frontier League All-Star Game.
Herrera received enough votes to be named a starter for the West Division team. At the time of voting, Herrera ranked in the top 5 in the Frontier League in average (.384), RBIs (45), hits (61), total bases (99), doubles (16), extra-base hits (24), on-base percentage (.446) and slugging percentage (.623).
Lee was the RiverHawks' first pick in the 2012 Frontier League Tryout and Draft. Lee has a record of three wins and one loss and an ERA of 2.20 through six starts and 13 appearances. He has struck out 59 batters, while walking just 14 in 41 innings.
Greener gets the all-star nod after hitting .313 with three home runs and 25 RBIs at the time of voting.
The 2012 State Farm Frontier League All-Star Game will be played at the CornCrib in Normal, Ill. Wednesday, July 11 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets to the game and other All-Star Break festivities may be purchased by phone at 309-454-BALL (2255), online at www.normalbaseball.com, or at the Corn Crib Box Office at 1000 West Raab Road in Normal. The Box Office is open 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday and Saturdays 10am - 2pm.
