The Chicago Cubs have announced the following roster moves affecting the Myrtle Beach Pelicans:

-RHP Rollie Lacy has been traded to the Texas Rangers.

Lacy was sent to Texas in the deal that netted LHP Cole Hamels for the Chicago Cubs. The right-hander made two starts with the Pelicans, going 1-1 with a 5.79 ERA. He struck out 10 over 9.1 innings. At the time of his promotion from Low-A South Bend, Lacy was leading the Midwest League in both ERA (2.02) and batting average against (.203) while posting the circuit's second-best WHIP (1.04). No pitcher in the Midwest League recorded a higher ground ball rate than Lacy's 62.1 percent, with just one other hurler totaling a mark above 50 percent. Lacy was originally drafted by the Cubs in the 11th round of the 2017 draft out of Creighton University.

The Pelicans' roster sits at 24 active players, with five players on the disabled list.
