RHP Jon Meloan Joins Thunder

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Monday that RHP Jon Meloan has been signed by the Yankees and assigned to the Thunder. Also, RHP Michael Dubee has been released from the organziation. Meloan (pronounced "Malone") has appeared in 13 major league games between the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians and Oakland As.
The 27-year-old was pitching for Independent Long Island in 2012 and had a 4-0 record in 23 appearances with a 0.99 ERA this year. Dubee appeared in 26 games with Trenton this season and went 2-3 with a 4.32 ERA.
