Ontario Reign News Release
ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, four-time ECHL Pacific Division Champions and proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, have announced that the club has acquired rookie left wing Todd Fiddler in a trade with the Quad City Mallards. The deal completes the trade for forward Mario Lamoureux, who was dealt to Quad City for future considerations on Oct. 28, 2014.
Fiddler, 21, has accumulated 27 points (13g-14a) and 37 penalty minutes over the course of 50 games with the Mallards in his first full season of professional hockey.
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound winger made his pro debut with the Colorado Eagles last season, notching two goals and two penalty minutes in eight games.
Prior to turning pro, the native of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan played in the Western Hockey League from 2009-14 with the Medicine Hat Tigers, Prince Albert Raiders, Spokane Chiefs, Moose Jaw Warriors and Prince George Cougars, logging 241 points (127g-114a) and 103 penalty minutes in 280 career games.
