DULUTH, Ga. - For the first time in nearly three weeks, the Gladiators (17-34-3-2) return home to The Arena at Gwinnett Center on Saturday night, looking to snap the 14-game winning streak of the South Carolina Stingrays (32-18-1-6). Last night, the new look lineup of the Gladiators looked sharp early on, scoring on their first shot of the game, but the powerful Stingrays offense took over from there, scoring five unanswered goals.

Glads Notes:

Smooth Murv: Fan favorite Tyler Murovich was claimed off of waivers by the Gladiators on Tuesday. Murovich played from 2011 to 2013 with the Gladiators, with his last game coming on April 30th, 2013 - a playoff loss to the Cincinnati Cyclones. 'Murv' has racked up 25 goals and 45 assists in his 113 regular season games, and another two goals and five assists in 14 playoff games with Gwinnett.

Changes Made: In the last week and a half, the Gladiators have made extensive changes to their roster:

- 2/21 - D - Patrick McEachen traded from Florida in exchange for cash

- 2/23 - F - Dan O'Donoghue reassigned from Portland (AHL)

- 2/26 - D - Joe Stejskal returned from loan with Iowa (AHL)

- 3/2 - F - Dyson Stevenson recalled to Portland (AHL) and traded to Bridgeport (AHL)

- 3/3 - F - Tyler Murovich claimed off waivers

- 3/5 - F - Greg Carey reassigned from Portland (AHL)

- 3/5 - G - Mike Lee reassigned from Portland (AHL)

Super Punch-Out!!: Last Saturday saw Gwinnett's most heated game of the season, as the Gladiators and the Solar Bears engaged in two full-ice brawls late in the second period. The first fight intensified when forward Dyson Stevenson fought goaltender Garret Sparks on the offensive blue line. A minute later in the game, Brock Montogmery went crashing into Mark Guggenberger, kicking off another round of fighting. In all, 144 penalty minutes were called (89 for Orlando, 55 for Gwinnett) and six players were ejected (four Solar Bears, two Gladiators). That isn't the record for PIMs in a Gladiators game, however. That record stands with a March 28th, 2008 marathon between Gwinnett and Florida that saw 264 PIM (GWT - 151, FLA - 113), three separate fights, including a goaltender brawl between Dan Turple and David Shantz midway through the game, and seven ejections.

Follow the Leader: Casey Pierro-Zabotel currently leads the Eastern Conference in scoring with 60 points in 54 games played. He is tied for fifth among all ECHL skaters in points, behind Allen's Chad Costello (94pts), Tulsa's Drew Fisher (64pts), Stockton's Jack Combs (62pts), and Allen's Gary Steffes (61pts), and tied with Rapid City's Jesse Shultz and Colorado's Trent Daavettila.

Gladiators Ahoy: Four players currently on the Gladiators roster have been assigned from their AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates- James Melindy, Dan O'Donoghue, Greg Carey, and Mike Lee - and seven more - Joel Hanley (POR), Louis Domingue (POR), Jordon Southorn (POR) Dyson Stevenson (POR/BRI), Bretton Stamler (HFD), Casey Pierro-Zabotel (NOR), and Joe Stejskal (IAW) - have spent time in the AHL this year.

Milestones: Sean Berkstresser is one game from his 450th professional game ... Casey Pierro-Zabotel is three goals from his 100th pro goal ... Geoff Paukovich is one goal away from his 50th as a pro ... Zach Yuen is two games away from his 100th professional match.

Streaks: Casey Pierro-Zabotel has had points in 15 of his last 21 games (11g, 12a) ... Brenden Walker has three goals and three assists in his last seven games.
