Nashville, Tenn. - Brett Wallace homered twice as the Oklahoma City RedHawks (43-31) finished their 11-game road trip with a 10-7 win over the Nashville Sounds (30-45) before 9,047 at Greer Stadium Friday night.

With the game tied 5-5 in the sixth, Wallace belted a two-run homer off Victor Garate (2-5) beyond the picnic area in right field to put the RedHawks in front for good.

Later in the eighth, Wallace took the first pitch of the inning out to left-center field to extend the RedHawks lead to 10-7. It marked Wallace's first multi-homer game of the season, and the eighth by a RedHawk in 2012.

The RedHawks shot out to an early lead, only to see it slip away before Wallace led the offense in the second half of the game.

In the first inning, the RedHawks pounced for four runs, knocking Nashville starting pitcher Wily Peralta out of the game before the inning was over. Leading 1-0, Landon Powell delivered a two-run, two-out single, and Jordan Kreke followed with an RBI single as well.

The Sounds got two runs in their first at-bat, including the first of Logan Schafer's two home runs to make it 4-2.

Nashville scored runs in the third and fourth to tie the game. Schafer's line drive homer down the right field line in the fifth gave the Sounds their first lead at 5-4.

The RedHawks responded with three runs in the next inning, and added two more in the seventh on a two-run single by Brandon Barnes.

Nashville scored twice in their half of the seventh, but would get no closer. Schafer finished 4-for-5 with two homers, a triple, and three RBIs. However, he grounded into a double play to end the game, as Hector Ambriz collected his first save as a RedHawk.

Brett Oberholtzer (1-1) earned his first Triple-A win, allowing four earned runs over five innings. He allowed eight hits with three strikeouts and no walks.

The RedHawks finished their road trip with a 5-6 record and ended their season series with Nashville by taking 13 of 16 games from the Sounds.

The RedHawks head home for a brief four-game stay as they face the Omaha Storm Chasers beginning Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. Houston Astros pitcher Bud Norris will make a rehab start and is expected to throw 75-85 pitches.

Tickets for Saturday's game are sold out. Live coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. on AM 1340, 1340thegame.com, or through the free IHeartRadio mobile app.
