Astros Pitcher Bud Norris to Make Rehab Start Saturday

OKLAHOMA CITY - Houston Astros pitcher Bud Norris will make a rehab start for the Oklahoma City RedHawks Saturday, June 23 when the RedHawks face the Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Norris, 27, was placed on the Disabled List with a sprained left knee on June 17 (retroactive to June 12). He is scheduled to throw 75-85 pitches.

Through 13 starts with the Astros this season, Norris is 5-4 with a 4.81 ERA. In 82 career Major League appearances, Norris is 26-28 with a 4.40 ERA.

The Astros selected Norris in the sixth round of the 2006 draft from Cal Poly. He was named 2009 Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Year after going 4-9 with a 2.63 ERA over 19 starts with the Round Rock Express.
