Zephyrs Ready For 2012 Debut On Cox Sports Television

New Orleans - The New Orleans Zephyrs are less than a week away from the first of eight games to be broadcast on Cox Sports Television. The New Orleans-based Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins will travel to Omaha on June 28 to face the Storm Chasers. First pitch is set for shortly after 7:00pm.

The Zephyrs are currently 38-35 this season and sit in third place in the Pacific Coast League American Southern Division. Ron Hassey leads the team as manager. Hassey was named the 13th manager in team history on December of 2011, but has been in the Marlins organization for four seasons.

Tim Grubbs and Ron Swoboda will again team up in 2012 for all home CST broadcasts from Zephyr Field. Grubbs, who is the team's Director of Broadcasting, will provide play-by-play, while Swoboda will serve as analyst. Again this year Grubbs and Swoboda will also host Inside Zephyrs Baseball, a 30 minute in-depth look at the Z's. Inside Zephyrs airs every Thursday at 5:00pm on CST.
