Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks News Release
FARGO, ND - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks are set to hit a new milestone on Tuesday night.
Sixteen-plus seasons after welcoming the first fan in 1996 as an expansion team in the Northern League, the RedHawks expect the Three Millionth Fan to pass through the gates of Newman Outdoor Field on Tuesday night (weather-permitting) as the club hosts the Winnipeg Goldeyes at 7:02 p.m.
Fans will be hand-counted on Tuesday night at both the Main Gate and East Gate. The Season Ticket Holder/VIP Gate will be closed until the Three Millionth Fan enters the stadium. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, 30 minutes earlier than usual.
The Three Millionth Fan will receive numerous gifts from the RedHawks, including a pair of Season Tickets for the 2013 season, a custom jersey, $100 in Hawk Bucks to spend anywhere at the stadium on Tuesday night and will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
"Tuesday will be a milestone night for the RedHawks, but it's really a tribute to the tremendous baseball fans throughout the region," said RedHawks General Manager Josh Buchholz. "It's humbling to think of all the people who have joined us at the stadium since 1996, and we look forward to welcoming millions more in the future."
